Affordable Movers is a single-owner Brooklyn shop. Mitch Levin opened the doors in 2018; the same five names answer the phone, write the figures, and run the trucks every week.
The Brooklyn backstory
Mitch’s grandfather landed in Brighton Beach in 1962, his parents raised him on Sheepshead Bay Road, and Mitch spent nine years dispatching for one of the big Williamsburg van outfits before he set up the 4th Avenue desk. He opened the shop because Brooklyn needed a mover who treated co-op board paperwork like first nature, not an afterthought.
“Three generations of Brooklyn under the roll-up door. We don’t pretend to know Manhattan or Queens better than the people who live there — we know Kings County.”
— Mitch Levin
